Position Information This is a corporate position.

Rotation/Shifts Days, evenings and nights, including weekends, 8 hour shifts. Must be available for on‑call weekends, and statutory holidays.

Basic Requirements Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario; Eligible for registration in abdomen plus at least one other specialty with Sonography Canada and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Experience in abdomen plus at least one other specialty; Ability to assist in invasive procedures; Knowledge of septic and aseptic techniques; Good knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound equipment both mobile and static; Certification in CPR; Good written, verbal and presentation skills; Sound judgement and problem-solving abilities; Good interpersonal skills; Eligible to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications MSK experience; Experience with bowel studies; Experience in a hospital environment; Proficiency in English and French oral expression (level 4 - advanced) and comprehension (level 4 - advanced).

The Ottawa Hospital uses a 5-level language proficiency scale to define the required level of language skills in English and in French for positions at the Hospital, and to evaluate job candidate language skills. Language proficiency requirements are based on the nature of the position at the level of interaction with French and English speaking clients.
