The Chignecto-Central Regional Centre for Education is seeking a School Safety Lead for Hants East Rural High School in Milford, NS. Hants East Rural High School is a large senior high school of approximately 800 students in grades 9-12.
Reporting to the Principal and working in a dynamic, high-pressure and fast-paced environment, the School Safety Lead supports school staff in maintaining a safe and secure school environment. The School Safety Lead is present throughout the building and exterior of the school to support the prevention of inappropriate student behaviour, including violence. The School Safety Lead is primarily responsible to identify and intervene in student safety concerns while maintaining a high level of security within the school environment by monitoring incoming and outgoing traffic.
