Job description
Salary: $93,600 - 114,400 per year
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform tools, including BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer
- Strong proficiency in Apache Spark, using Scala or PySpark
- 3+ years of experience with mainstream programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Proven background building scalable Big Data ingestion frameworks
- Experience developing ETL processes to ingest data from multiple enterprise sources and databases
- Strong analytical ability in Big Data environments
- Ability to work independently on complex, multifaceted technical initiatives
- Willingness to take initiative and quickly learn new technical standards and processes
Responsibilities:
- Design and build high-performance data processing and ingestion frameworks
- Work closely with Business Analysts to broaden data coverage and deepen analytical insights
- Deliver clean, reliable code, contribute to peer reviews, and support solutions after deployment
- Research and suggest emerging technologies to improve our Big Data platform
- Resolve complex development challenges independently within a large-scale IT environment
