Business Intelligence Developer V

Our client, a premier global financial institution, is seeking a senior-level, highly analytical Business Intelligence Developer V (Power Platform & IAM Specialist) to join their enterprise Information Security division within the Workforce Identity and Access Management (IAM) organization.

In this strategic role, you will act as a core functional team member within the Governance and Analytics team, delivering outcome-driven, actionable BI solutions across information security principles. Your primary focus will be designing, engineering, and automating enterprise Power BI dashboards, Power Automate workflows, and Power Apps solutions to reduce operational risk and enhance the enterprise's security posture. Handling massive datasets (100M+ records), you will design multi-dimensional data models, apply row-level security (RLS), and leverage modern AI development tools (Copilot, VS Code) to build scalable, audit-proof reporting applications.

Duration: 12-Month Contract (with high potential for extension)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days per week on-site at the corporate office, 3 days work from home; anchor days are flexible, with potential evolution up to 4 days on-site)

Responsibilities
Power Platform Engineering & Automation
Power BI Dashboard & App Engineering: Design, build, deploy, and maintain outcome-driven Power BI dashboards and apps for Workforce IAM. Ensure visual design is user-friendly, intuitive, and actionable based on Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Workflow & Communication Automation: Build automated distribution flows using Power Automate to deliver dynamic Power BI reports via email and Microsoft Teams. Develop custom data gathering interfaces using Power Apps.

Complex Data Modeling: Engineer multi-dimensional data models connecting disparate data sources (SQL, JSON, XML, XLSX, CSV, SharePoint directories, web endpoints). Write advanced DAX and Power Query (M) logic.

AI Tool Integration: Leverage AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, VS Code) to optimize build efficiency, code quality, and script troubleshooting.

Governance, Data Security & Optimization
Big Data Optimization: Implement data management structures and query optimization strategies to ingest and render massive datasets (100M+ records) with high responsiveness.

Data Security & Access Control: Enforce strict data security policies by implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and Active Directory (AD) group permissions to protect sensitive security metrics.

Audit-Proof Quality & Documentation: Conduct unit testing, data validation, and troubleshooting to ensure audit-compliant accuracy. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all underlying logic and deployment workflows.

Consultative Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the internal Power Platform SME, consulting with business partners on best practices, data reusability, and report standardization.



Qualifications
Power Platform Mastery: 10+ years of dedicated experience implementing, configuring, administering, and supporting enterprise Power BI dashboards/apps, Power Automate flows, and Power Apps.

AI Tool Proficiency: 2+ years of hands-on experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools such as Microsoft Copilot and VS Code.

Technical Hard Skills:

Advanced DAX and Power Query development.

Strong SQL data manipulation and query tuning.

Experience handling diverse data formats (JSON, XML, XLSX, CSV, SharePoint).

Big Data Management: Proven track record architecting data structures and optimizing performance for datasets exceeding 100 million+ records.

Data Warehousing Literacy: Practical understanding of data warehouse architecture, data modeling principles, and performance tuning.

Soft Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication; self-starter with strong time management, analytical thinking, detail orientation, and documentation skills.

Preferred Assets & Nice-to-Haves
Information Security domain knowledge (Workforce IAM, identity lifecycle management, privileged access, authentication, authorization).

Previous experience within a Tier-1 Bank or Financial Institution.

Active Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification.
