Job Description

THIS IS A 1 YEAR FIXED TERM POSITION

Who will you be working with?

You'll work alongside a knowledgeable team of Production Assemblers, Test Technicians, Quality Professionals, and Engineers who are passionate about building high-quality products and solving complex technical challenges. While Bach-Simpson has a long history of supporting the global rail transit industry, our team is continuously innovating and expanding into new markets and technologies. In our collaborative and continuously improving environment, you'll have opportunities to learn from experienced professionals, share your ideas, and make meaningful contributions to products used by customers around the world.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the Production Team at Bach-Simpson, you will report to the Operations Manager. The Bench Test Equipment (BTE) Assembler is responsible for the assembly and testing of custom electrical, electronic, electromechanical, and cable/harness assemblies used in Bench Test Equipment (BTE) systems and other product lines as required. This role supports a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment where many products are engineered-to-order and built directly from drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials.

The successful candidate will possess strong assembly skills, excellent workmanship, and extensive experience with manual, semi-automated, and automated assembly tooling. The BTE Assembler will work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Test personnel to ensure assemblies meet customer requirements and IPC Class 3 workmanship standards.
