Kelly is hiring!
We are looking for a Cross Boarder Logistics Coordinator for our client, Canada’s leader in food and pharmacy in Balzac, AB. In this role you will be responsible for supporting drivers and ensuring the smooth execution of daily transportation operations. Acting as the primary liaison between drivers, dispatch, planning teams, customers, and internal stakeholders, this role ensures timely communication, compliance, appointment scheduling, and proactive issue resolution to support on-time service delivery.
Please note: this is a 1 year opportunity with extension and or conversion available for the right candidate. The shift schedule for this role Tuesday-Saturday 9am-6pm.
Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and assist drivers arriving at the office, providing professional frontline support and direction.
  • Prepare and print all required documentation for drivers transporting southbound loads.
  • Monitor and track daily northbound produce shipments to ensure ontime movement and provide shipment status updates as required.
  • Process ACI (Advance Commercial Information) load clearances through Border Connect to ensure shipments are compliant and borderready.
  • Act as the liaison with customs brokers, responding promptly to inquiries and resolving documentation or clearance issues to prevent shipment delays.
  • Verify that all required documentation for southbound shipments has been submitted by drivers and uploaded accurately into the transportation management system.
  • Follow up with drivers to obtain missing or incomplete documentation, ensuring all compliance requirements are met before shipment arrival at the border.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation in company systems.
  • Communicate proactively with drivers, brokers, dispatch, and operations teams regarding shipment status, documentation requirements, and potential issues.
  • Support daily transportation operations while ensuring compliance with company policies, customs regulations, and crossborder shipping requirements.
  • Dispatch support as required (holiday/sick day coverage)
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, customer service, or operations coordination.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation or dispatch systems is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to customer service.
