About this role:


Mozilla’s Cloud Engineering team seeks a Senior Software Engineer to mature, maintain, and build features for our Internal Developer Infrastructure Platform. You will work on creating standardized, scalable systems for CI/CD, Observability, Kubernetes optimization, environment bootstrapping, cost optimization, and more. Supporting the Infrastructure needs of the organization and identifying new opportunities to mature the path to production in a safe, cost effective way will also be an integral part of this role.


What you’ll do:



  • Support infrastructure that development teams use to own and operate their services at Mozilla.

  • Guide technical decision-making and adoption of user-centric solutions.

  • Create Claude skills and design agentic workflows that improve developer productivity

  • Guide team members and promote engineering standard methodologies, with a focus on usability and maintainability.

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration for efficient and cohesive platform delivery.

  • Write proposals and decision briefs for new policies, processes, and platform functionality.

  • Create new features for the platform with a meaningful value proposition

  • Be trusted to resolve unclear but urgent tasks.


What you’ll bring:



  • 5+ years experience in software engineering with expertise in at least one of (Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, SRE, DevOps)

  • Proven technical leadership experience.

  • Expertise in several of the following (ArgoCD, Grafana, K8s, GitHub, Terraform, Helm, Backstage, Cloud Cost Optimization)

  • Proficient in Python, JavaScript, or Go.

  • Strong expertise in cloud-native technologies (GCP preferred; AWS also acceptable).

  • Excellent communication skills aligning technology with user needs and organizational goals.

  • Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity.

  • Curiosity and interest in learning new things
