Company Overview:

Coeur Mining is a U.S.-based, well-diversified, growing precious metals producer with seven wholly-owned operations: the New Afton gold-copper mine in British Columbia, Canada, the Rainy River gold-silver mine in Ontario, Canada, the Las Chispas silver-gold mine in Sonora, Mexico, the Palmarejo gold-silver mine in Chihuahua, Mexico, the Rochester silver-gold mine in Nevada, the Kensington gold mine in Alaska and the Wharf gold mine in South Dakota. In addition, the Company wholly owns the Silvertip polymetallic critical minerals exploration project in British Columbia, Canada.

Position Summary:

The General Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall accountability for the Silvertip asset, ensuring the safe, environmentally responsible, and cost-effective stewardship of the operation while advancing the Company's long-term business objectives. The role will lead a multi-disciplinary team across Supply Chain, Community Relations, Human Resources, Technical Services, Environment, Safety, Mine, Mill, and Maintenance functions.

Working closely with corporate and site leadership teams, the General Manager will support the advancement of the Prefeasibility Study, operational readiness activities, and future restart planning while ensuring strong business performance, regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, and risk management. The successful candidate will build trust and credibility at all levels of the organization, foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and position the Silvertip asset for long-term success and value creation.

Relocation to Whitehorse, Yukon or British Columbia is preferred to enable efficient travel to the mine site on a rotational basis. Relocation assistance will be provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support, collaboration, efficiency, and mining expertise into all aspects of the Silvertip operation.
  • Lead, mentor, and empower change through influence and strategic relationship building at all levels of the operation and corporate office.
  • In collaboration with the site leadership team, develop and implement key business initiatives focused on continuous improvement, operational excellence, and value creation.
  • Develop business plans, annual budgets, and Life of Mine plans utilizing reserves, resources, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop strategic plans by evaluating operational, technical, and financial opportunities; presenting recommendations; and supporting the monitoring and control of budgets and business performance.
  • Support the advancement of the Prefeasibility Study by providing operational leadership and practical input into mine planning, infrastructure requirements, workforce planning, operating strategies, schedules, capital requirements, and risk identification.
  • Collaborate with corporate technical, engineering, project, and operational teams to ensure study assumptions and project execution plans are practical, executable, and aligned with future operating requirements.
  • Lead the development and execution of operational readiness plans to support a safe, efficient, and successful restart of the Silvertip operation.
  • Establish and monitor readiness activities related to workforce planning, organizational design, training, systems, maintenance, supply chain, contractor management, infrastructure, and site services.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate operational, technical, financial, environmental, regulatory, and community risks that may impact project advancement, operational readiness, or future production.
  • Develop exploration plans in partnership with site and corporate exploration teams to extend mine life and enhance the long-term value of the asset.
  • Manage and report on key performance indicators including health and safety, environmental performance, operational readiness, production, and operating costs.
  • Support proactive, preventative, and predictive maintenance programs focused on reliability, asset performance, and cost effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with Indigenous Nations, local communities, regulators, government agencies, contractors, and other key stakeholders to support the long-term success of the operation.
  • Assist with creating a world-class, continuously improving safety culture that promotes health and safety programs meeting or exceeding regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Champion environmental stewardship, community relations programs, and ESG initiatives that support responsible resource development and sustainable operations.
  • Support permitting, consultation, and regulatory activities required to advance the project toward restart and future operations.
  • Support workforce, recruitment, succession, and talent strategies to ensure organizational readiness for future operations.
  • Act as the primary site representative with corporate leadership and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on business performance, project advancement, operational readiness, opportunities, and risks.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through industry engagement, professional development, benchmarking, and participation in relevant professional organizations.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of the successful operation, development, and strategic objectives of the Silvertip asset.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Science, or a related discipline is required. MBA is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience within the mining industry, including significant experience in senior leadership roles with accountability for site-wide safety, operational, technical, financial, and workforce performance. Demonstrated success leading complex mining operations, major projects, operational readiness initiatives, mine development, restart activities, or organizational transformation.
  • Extensive knowledge of mining operations and the integration of mining, processing, technical services, maintenance, environmental management, and business planning functions.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading major project studies, mine development projects, operational readiness initiatives, mine commissioning, restart activities, or operational transformations.
  • Extensive underground mining experience is strongly preferred, including experience leading complex underground operations and multi-disciplinary teams. Experience with polymetallic mining operations and narrow-vein or structurally controlled deposits is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing operating and capital budgets, Life of Mine plans, and long-range business strategies.

  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, environmental stewardship, and responsible resource development, with the ability to promote safe work practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with demonstrated success building, coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Indigenous Nations, local communities, regulators, government agencies, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to manage competing priorities, make sound decisions, identify and mitigate risk, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience utilizing operational, maintenance, and safety management systems.
  • Accepts personal responsibility for the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of work and decision-making.
