  • Overview* All our employees play a vital role at Commercial, but our *Installer / Fabricators* are the backbone of the work we do. Commercial builds and supports vehicles for essential sectors such as fire, utility, towing, municipalities, airports, and others, and we rely every day on our production team members to put vehicles together for these vital customers. We're looking for an Installer / Fabricator to join the Commercial team and undertake the broad and diverse set of duties required to build and repair market-leading vehicles. The successful candidate will likely have a strong background with the combination of education and experience to confidently complete installation and repair of electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, aerials, cranes, plows, lights, and more. This is a vast scope of work and includes a very limited amount of repetitive work requiring active thinking and an excellent base of knowledge. Commercial is looking for someone who has the experience to make a smooth transition into this position and hit the ground running.* - Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical installations. - Combined mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repair and assembly skills. - Hydraulic hose routing and system diagnostic experience. - Proficient in reading and interpreting installation drawings, including hydraulic and electrical schematics. - Ability to perform accurate assembly and installations to meet quality and safety standards. - Ability to safely and effectively use power and hand tools. - General metal fabrication experience. - Welding experience in steel and aluminum. CWB certification is considered an asset. - General truck equipment repair experience is considered an asset. - Knowledge of the truck or heavy equipment industry would be very beneficial. *Timeline and Application* We have an immediate need for an employee in this role, and applications are reviewed as received.
