Responsibilities — deliver reliable bookkeeping and support structuring
- Ensure bookkeeping related to construction operations: payables, receivables, coding, and current accounting entries.
- Perform bank reconciliations, track accounts receivable, and record cash receipts.
- Coordinate the follow-up of receipts and ensure necessary follow-ups with stakeholders.
- Participate in month-end tasks and support the production of required information.
- Prepare monthly sales tax remittances according to deadlines.
- Verify the compliance of legal and regulatory documents and ensure follow-up (RBQ, ARQ, etc.).
- Contribute to process improvement and support the upcoming implementation of an ERP (in support of the finance team).
Profile sought — essential to be operational quickly
- Hold a DEC in accounting or equivalent training.
- Demonstrate experience in a similar accounting position.
- Have experience in construction, including a multi-entity context and CCQ payroll.
- Master the Office Suite (Excel, Word) at an intermediate to advanced level.
- Master French orally and in writing, with functional English.
- Show autonomy and rigor in an intense workflow.
- Effectively prioritize and maintain tight follow-ups in an environment where processes are being structured.
Conditions — what the position offers daily
- Salary: $75,000.
- Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, starting at 7 AM, spread over 4.5 days with Friday afternoons off.
- Work mode: hybrid, up to 2 days of remote work after the training period.
