Leading Real Estate Developer in Edmonton has an immediate need for a Junior Treasury Analyst.
Your new role
The Jr. Treasury Analyst is responsible for supporting the daily functions of the treasury department, including cash management, credit facility administration, and financial reporting. This role contributes to the preparation of loan draws, liquidity analysis, Letters of Credit, andpliance documentation, while ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all treasury processes. The Jr. Treasury Analyst works closely with internal teams and external partners to support funding, reporting, and financial decision-making for real estate and development projects. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing financial data and processes.Key ResponsibilitiesCredit Facility & Loan Administration
- Assist in the management of credit facilities by modelling asset values, cash flows, and cost scenarios.
- Monitor daily credit availability, interest rates, and lending conditions across all loan agreements.
- Coordinate and prepare loan draw packages, ensuringpliance with funding conditions and timely submission to lenders.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare project development pro-formas and conduct sensitivity analysis for new and existing financing structures.
- Assist in financial due diligence for real estate asset acquisitions and divestments.
- Support the preparation of monthly lender reports, includingpliance certificates and margin reviews.
Letters of Credit & Stakeholder Coordination
- Prepare, track, and administer Letters of Credit, ensuring timely renewals andpliance.
- Maintain effective relationships with banks, legal counsel, quantity surveyors, and internal teams to support draw and financing processes.
Operational Support & Treasury Administration
- Contribute to daily banking and liquidity updates, providing insights into account activity and opportunities for process improvement.
- Assist with treasury administrative tasks including audits, reporting, and document control.
- Support month-end and year-end treasury functions, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of financial data.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred in one of the following fields):FinanceAccountingMathematics
- Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):
Essential Skills andpetencies:Financial Analysis & Modeling
- Solid foundation in financial modeling, pro-forma development, and scenario analysis.
- Ability to analyzeplex financing structures and present findings clearly.
- Proficient in Excel and financial reporting tools.
Detail Orientation & Accuracy
- Strong attention to detail in reviewing loan documents, Letters of Credit, and lender reports.
- Ability to manage sensitive financial data with accuracy and discretion.
- Effectivemunicator when working with banks, quantity surveyors, and cross-functional teams.
- Able to follow up with stakeholders and track multiple tasks simultaneously.
Problem-Solving & Initiative
- Capable of identifying issues in cash management or reporting processes and proposing practical solutions.
- Demonstrates initiative and willingness to learn in a fast-paced finance environment.
