In this role, there will be opportunities to define the future direction of several strategic initiatives within the Division, including the expansion of regional and national leadership in solid tumor oncology, oncology fertility preservation and pediatric cancer genetics. CHEO has an active and accredited Pediatric Hematology/Oncology residency training program. The division is also involved in education for pediatric residents and medical students. CHEO is a global leader in pediatric health care and research and the CHEO Research Institute is the fastest growing RI in Canada. The University of Ottawa is Canada's largest bilingual institution of higher learning and research. The Faculty of Medicine offers a wide range of competitive educational and research programs in a dynamic learning environment with state‑of‑the‑art facilities. The Faculty is recognized as a national leader in medical education and ranks among the top faculties of medicine worldwide for research intensity and impact. Ottawa is Canada's capital city, which blends the cultural diversity and vibrancy of a capital city with the warmth and atmosphere of a smaller community. We are committed to advancing equity, diversity, inclusion and indigeneity within our organization and the broader community.
