Our client, a leader in the aerospace and space industry, is seeking an Export Control Specialist (ITAR, EAR & Trade Compliance) to join their team. As an Export Control Specialist, you will be part of the Trade Compliance Department supporting the global space missions. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Export Control Specialist (ITAR, EAR & Trade Compliance)
Location: Brampton, ON
Pay Range: Up to $120K/Year (Depending upon experience)
What's the Job?
- Review and process End-User Statements, export permits, and licenses for Canadian and international transactions.
- Prepare and submit re-export and re-transfer authorizations for U.S.-origin products through the U.S. Department of State and Department of Commerce.
- Collaborate with project and program teams to ensure all necessary permits and licenses are in place throughout contract lifecycles.
- Manage the Export Controls Online (EXCOL) platform, including permit applications, reporting, and advisory opinions.
- Support compliance monitoring, risk assessments, and mitigation activities to ensure adherence to export regulations.
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Export Controls, Trade Compliance, or related fields.
- Degree or diploma in International Trade, Commerce, Law, or relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and Export and Import Permits Act (EIPA).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
