Job description

We're looking for a Release Engineer with strong platform engineering experience to support a large-scale RHEL modernization initiative. The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise in RHEL9, CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure automation.

What you'll do
  • Support migration of applications and services from RHEL7 to RHEL9
  • Build, manage, and troubleshoot RPM packages and resolve dependency issues
  • Modernize container platforms using Podman, Kubernetes, Rancher, and RHEL Universal Base Images
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Groovy, and Python
  • Perform vulnerability remediation, security hardening, and infrastructure automation with Ansible
What you bring
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including RHEL9
  • Strong Linux administration and platform engineering experience
  • Experience with Python, Groovy, Jenkins, Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, and Rancher
  • Knowledge of Make, CMake, GCC build systems, and Ansible
  • Experience with OS modernization, CI/CD automation, and security remediation
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills
Nice to have
  • Experience with enterprise infrastructure modernization projects
  • Knowledge of secure software supply chain practices
  • Experience working in client-facing environments
Work setup
  • Location: Calgary, AB
  • Hybrid: 3 days onsite per week
  • Contract: 6+ months
  • Face-to-face interview required
