Vortex Strategy & Recruitment is actively and continuously seeking Accounting Technicians for its clients located in the Greater Montreal area.
The person hired may have experience managing the full accounting cycle or only in billing or only in accounts receivable collections. Depending on the client, bilingualism will be considered an asset.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Data entry into the accounting system;
Management of accounts payable and receivable;
Perform high-volume invoicing;
Ability to carry out accounts receivable collections using a “Soft Collection” approach;
Perform bank reconciliations;
Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to maintain up-to-date accounting records;
Ensure the collection of all payments;
Respond to accounting-related emails and phone calls;
Collect employee timesheets and forward the information to the payroll provider;
All other related tasks associated with the Accounting Technician position.
Requirements
Several years of experience as an Accounting Technician;
Diploma in Accounting (DEC or DEP);
Experience in a large organization;
Strong knowledge of accounting software systems;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
Dynamic and proactive personality;
Strong prioritization and organizational skills;
Ability to work on multiple files simultaneously;
Ability to handle a high volume of work while maintaining a high level of quality, sometimes within tight deadlines.
