Vortex Strategy & Recruitment is actively seeking a Construction Lawyer for its client, a rapidly growing regional law firm based in Laval.
Our client's Construction Law team has built a strong reputation by advising a diverse clientele of real estate developers, condominium corporations, construction professionals, and business owners on strategic legal matters. The team brings together professionals whose expertise covers every aspect of the construction industry. We are seeking a lawyer with 5 to 10 years of experience to join the firm's Laval office.
Your Role and Responsibilities
• Advise clients on construction law matters
• Prepare for and represent clients before civil courts
• Draft pleadings, written arguments, and legal strategies
• Manage files diligently while ensuring compliance with deadlines and the firm's professional standards
• Mentor and supervise lawyers or articling students, when required
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience practicing construction law within a law firm
• Member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec
• Experience in construction litigation and real estate litigation (Court of Québec, Superior Court, Court of Appeal)
• Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and professional judgment
• Client service oriented with excellent teamwork abilities
• Ability to manage multiple litigation files simultaneously
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Bilingualism (French and English, spoken and written)
