Job description
Reporting directly to the IT Director, the Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Lead serves as the second most senior technical authority within a 5-person team, acting as the primary backup for the Director. This position is tailored for an experienced IT professional (8+ years) eager to move beyond pure daily operations into architectural planning and strategic decision-making. You will oversee Azure cloud optimizations, strengthen the cybersecurity posture, define governance policies (MS Entra ID), and manage external service providers. The ideal candidate brings a 360-degree vision across infrastructure, cloud, and security, alongside strong communication skills to demystify technical concepts for business stakeholders. Advantages
Competitive market salary range ($90,000 - $110,000 based on experience).

Responsibilities
Architecture & Strategy (30%): Design cloud and infrastructure architecture plans; perform proofs of concept; define IT standards and MS Entra ID governance; mentor team members.

Operations & Cloud Management (40%): Maintain performance and resilience of network/server infrastructure (Fortinet, Cisco); optimize Azure resource usage and cloud costs; serve as M365/Intune expert.

Cybersecurity & Governance (30%): Implement security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, IAM); manage vulnerability assessments; define incident response plans; supervise external managed security service providers (MSSP/SOC).

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, including at least 2 years dedicated to cybersecurity.

Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure environments and M365 suite / MS Entra ID.

Experience managing external vendor deliverables and infrastructure project execution.

Strong strategic mindset, problem-solving skills, and superior communication/stakeholder management abilities.
