About the roleJoin a high-impact team supporting IT professionals who develop business and mission capable systems for the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN). This role combines advanced technical troubleshooting with stakeholder coordination and customer engagement. If you meet the goals of the role, we want to hear from you.Must-haves:Experience providing Level 3 support within complex enterprise IT environments, including incident management, advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and coordination with multiple technical and operational stakeholders.Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft products and Linux distributions, with experience supporting server, workstation, and infrastructure environments in business, mission, or operational settings.Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, including hypervisors/virtual workloads, networking equipment, storage devices, system performance monitoring, maintenance activities, across interconnected environments.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems across multiple technology domains, leveraging critical thinking, analytical skills, strong written communication skills, and collaboration with subject matter experts to resolve & identify the issues.Mandatory Requirement:Canadian citizenship, with 10 or more years residing in Canada with no periods longer than six continuous months out of country, is absolutely necessary as part of the requirements to obtain a government security clearance to the minimum level of SecretNice-to-haves (desirable):Naturally curious and enjoys solving unfamiliar problemsCan navigate complex contractor, stakeholder, and customer relationships to deploy changeCan communicate equally well with senior leaders, engineers, technicians, and end users.Why join Weir?We live our values—we think safety first, do the right thing, respect each other, aim high and delight our customers.
