About the position :
A day program group facilitator needs to lead a small group with confidence, maturity, and a proven dedication to working with individuals of all ages facing developmental disabilities, behavioral disorders, and different functioning levels.
Day program has a variety of groups, each with a unique focus. The facilitator should have broad knowledge to effectively work with our diverse population.
Work Setting : Working with individuals of all ages in a community-based day program setting.
Target Groups or Residents : Our services support individuals of all ages, genders, and abilities, including those from culturally diverse backgrounds, and those with disabilities such as deafness / hard of hearing, blindness / visual impairment, intellectual, learning, and mental health disabilities.
Daily Responsibilities :
This job posting doesn't cover every task. The employee might need to handle additional duties as necessary to meet the agency's ongoing requirements.
Essential Skills : Reading, writing, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, decision-making, critical thinking, job planning, organization, and leading small groups.
Qualifications :
During the initial six-month probation, all employees will undergo evaluations. Successful completion leads to promotion to regular status. Facilitators will receive annual performance appraisals and are expected to adhere to job description requirements and responsibilities.

Education : Minimum 1 year of study in a related subject field (Developmental Service Worker, Community Service Worker, Psychology, Applied Behavioural Analysis, Criminology, etc.)
