About Working in Remote Camps

• Our camps are located in remote areas and staff live on-site on scheduled shifts and leave camp on scheduled breaks.
• Most of our LandSea camps offer individual staff accommodation, ensuite or shared bathroom, full meals, WIFI and some have health/gym facilities for staff.
• Camp staff work long hours and multiple days in a row. A typical workday is between 10-12 hours (day or night shift) and overtime rates apply.
• Health and Safety and a Respectful Workplace are essential for everyone working together at LandSea. Our camps are drug and alcohol-free workplaces and require pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.

About the Job, Benefits and Perks

• Our camp located in Lytton, BC is looking to fill several short-term roles starting ASAP:
  • Housekeeper
  • 2nd Cook
  • 3rd Cook/GH
• Wages starting between $18.47 to 20.52 depending on the position
• Overtime pay
• Schedule: 10-hour or 12-hour shifts depending on operational needs
• Term: short-term for approx one month after start-date
• Travel Subsidy may be available for inbound and outbound travel
• Meals and accommodation while working on site
• Partial uniform is provided
• Company and team building events
• Opportunities for more permenant positions based on performance and additional hiring needs.
• Our team organizes all logistics and travel for employees to get to and from camp.

Job Qualifications

• Some experience working in remote workforce camps is preferred
• Great communication. Speak, read and write English
• Team player that can provide support, motivation, and encouragement to others
• Excellent attention to detail and well-developed organizational skills
• Strong work ethic with an ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Always maintain a professional appearance
• Work safely and responsibly
• Ability to follow directions, be diligent, focused, and consistent.
• Comfort with kitchen equipment and knife skills are required for all kitchen positions
• Foodsafe is reuqired for all kitchen positions

• Drug and Alcohol Clearance
• Criminal Record Check Clearance
• Health Questionnaire
• Valid Government Issued ID for travel if required
