Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant supports key financial operations, including month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, financial reporting, audits, and the maintenance of effective internal controls. The ideal candidate is a proactive and analytical professional who enjoys understanding the details behind financial information, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing practical solutions. Main responsibilities include:Oversee and continuously improve day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, general ledger activities, and financial transactionsPrepare and review accounting entries, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial information to support accurate month-end and year-end close processesSupport the preparation of financial statements, management reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activitiesMaintain accurate financial records, including fixed assets, balance sheet accounts, and supporting documentation, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirementsAssist with external audits by preparing required documentation and supporting audit activitiesIdentify opportunities to strengthen accounting processes, improve internal controls, and enhance efficiency through technology and automationProvide guidance and support to junior accounting team members as needed.Stay current with relevant accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements and contribute to ongoing improvements within the finance functionPerform other accounting and finance-related duties as requiredThis is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive team that values growth, collaboration, and professional development.
