What's in it for you:

Join a collaborative software engineering team focused on developing and supporting cloud-based applications, automation tools, and services. In this role, you will work across backend development, automation, frontend UI, and AWS-based cloud services, contributing throughout the software development lifecycle from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and production support.

You will have the opportunity to solve complex technical problems, work closely with engineers and developers across teams, and contribute to scalable, reliable solutions used in production environments.

What you will do:

• Design, develop, test, and document backend features, automation tools, frontend UI components, and supporting services.
• Maintain, enhance, and upgrade existing applications, tools, and services.
• Monitor and support AWS-based cloud services in production.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, respond to maintenance and support tickets, and support the rollout of automation tools and new features.
• Evaluate problem definitions, technical requirements, and proposed solutions to determine operational and technical feasibility.
• Develop and integrate APIs, data pipelines, microservices, and cloud-based components.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and daily SCRUM meetings.
• Contribute to software testing through test development, review, analysis, and validation.
• Follow software engineering best practices for performance, scalability, reliability, resiliency, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with engineers and software developers across teams to improve technology standards and deliver high-quality solutions.
  

What you will bring:

• 3+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or other backend programming languages.
• Experience developing and supporting applications or services in AWS.
• Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, RDS, or similar cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices architectures, and data pipelines.
• Experience with software development, testing, debugging, and production troubleshooting.
• Experience working in Agile/SCRUM development environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through ambiguous and complex technical challenges.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical teams.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices is an asset.
• Experience with frontend development or UI frameworks is an asset.

$85,816.66 - $120,084.99
