Job description
Musselwhite Mine Orla Mining is striving to be the emerging gold producer of choice with a geographically diversified asset base, a prospective development and exploration portfolio, an experienced management team with a successful track record, and a high-quality board and shareholder base. Orla operates the Camino Rojo Oxide Gold Mine, a gold and silver open-pit heap leach mine, located in Zacatecas State, Central Mexico. This low-cost operation is 100% owned by Orla, covers over 139,000 hectares, and includes a large sulphide mineral endowment located beneath the oxide resources. We are also advancing permitting and development on our South Railroad Project, a feasibility-stage, open-pit heap leach project located on the prolific Carlin trend in Nevada. This project is part of our larger South Carlin Complex, which includes a prospective land package. We recently acquired the Musselwhite Mine located in Northern Ontario on Lake Opapimiskan, a gold mine with more than 25 years of operating history. The addition of Musselwhite has allowed Orla to more than double our gold production and provide strategic entry into a Tier 1 mining jurisdiction. The Musselwhite Mine is highly prospective with potential to expand resources and mine life for years to come. Orla is building a legacy of excellence, respect and sustainable value through responsible gold mining. We are striving to create a net positive benefit for all and leaving a legacy beyond the life of our mines. We do this through building and operating high quality mines supported and led by an experienced team. We are custodians of the assets we run and the environments in which we operate, and we are committed to fostering a culture of excellence, care, and respect. Purpose

We are seeking an eager and energetic LHDB Miner with a positive attitude to join our Underground Mining team. This is a combined role designed for individuals with experience or interest in both Long Hole Drilling, Loading and Cablebolting. The successful candidate will receive cross-training and development to contribute to the efficiency and safety of our Drill and Blast operations as part of our ongoing growth and development. Responsibilities

Operate or train to operate Long Hole Drill and Cablebolter equipment efficiently and accurately for production drilling, slot raises, drop raises, and cable installation. Perform additional production support tasks such as hole cleaning, loading, grouting, and blasting, as needed. Take direction from Drill and Blast and/or Underground Supervisors in a respectful and timely manner. Inspect and maintain all assigned equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Support a strong safety culture by following all company procedures and workplace policies. Perform other duties as assigned to support production targets and operational needs. Skills and Experience

1 – 5 years of underground mining experience and/or heavy machinery operation experience. Experience in Long Hole Drilling, Cablebolting, and/or loading and blasting is an asset. Ability to read and interpret engineering prints. Must possess Ontario Basic Common Core. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions. Flexible and adaptable to meet the dynamic needs of underground mining. Strong communication skills and ability to work well as part of a collaborative team. Working Conditions

The schedule for this position will consist of 14 days on and 14 days off, 12 hours per day. Compensation

The base salary range for this position is CAD$113,826 - $139,291 per year, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications. The Company offers a Defined Contribution Pension Plan (DCPP), including an automatic 5% employer contribution, with the option for employees to receive up to an additional 4% employer match on employee contributions.
