Job description

Adecco is currently hiring a Field Accounting Clerk for a full-time opportunity supporting site operations in a fast-paced work environment. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in payroll administration, timekeeping, data entry, field accounting, and administrative support who thrive in a detail-oriented and deadline-driven setting.
You will be responsible for processing employee time records, supporting payroll-related activities, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and internal controls.

  • Pay Rate: $24 to $28/hour (depending on shift)
  • Location: Saint John, NB
  • Shift: 6 days per week | 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM OR 7:00 PM - 5:00 AM | Days Off: Either Saturday or Sunday
  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:
Payroll & Timekeeping Administration

  • Process, post, and reconcile employee timesheets and payroll data.
  • Review and verify timekeeping records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify discrepancies and resolve payroll or time-related issues.
  • Run reports and verify data following timesheet processing.

Employee Records & Data Management

  • Process employee hires, terminations, and payroll adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate employee and payroll records.
  • Ensure payroll documentation is complete, organized, and up to date.
  • Handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.

Communication & Continuous Improvement

  • Liaise with site personnel to resolve payroll and timekeeping concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Assist with payroll process improvements and administrative initiatives.
  • Provide general administrative support and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2-3 years of experience in data entry, payroll administration, field accounting, accounting support, or administrative roles.
  • Experience processing timesheets, payroll data, or employee records.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with payroll systems and data entry software.
  • Experience using MyTrack is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility to work overtime when required.
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
