Field Accounting Clerks for full-time temporary opportunities supporting a major project. We are looking for detail-oriented and organized professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and have experience with payroll, timekeeping, or administrative support. Both
day and night shifts are available, with competitive hourly pay and overtime opportunities.
In this role, you will be responsible for processing employee timekeeping information, maintaining payroll records, resolving discrepancies, and supporting payroll operations to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Pay Rate:
- Day Shift: $24.00/hour
- Night Shift: $28.00/hour
- Location: Saint John, NB
- Schedule:
Until September 8:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Friday: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
- Alternating Fridays off
- After September 8:
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 6 days per week (Saturday or Sunday off)
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 5:00 AM, 6 days per week (Saturday or Sunday off)
- Employment Type: Full-Time | Temporary (Approximately 3 Months)
Responsibilities- Process and balance daily time entries for all site employees.
- Run and verify payroll extracts following timesheet entry completion.
- Reconcile employee time records and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
- Process employee hires, terminations, and payroll adjustments within company systems.
- Maintain accurate employee files and timesheet records.
- Communicate with site teams to resolve payroll and timekeeping issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Recommend improvements to payroll and timekeeping processes.
- Handle confidential payroll and employee information with professionalism and discretion.
- Provide administrative support as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
- Maintain accuracy while working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Support team initiatives focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Qualifications- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- 2-3 years of experience in data entry, field accounting, payroll administration, or a related administrative role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with MyTrack and payroll data entry systems is considered an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Flexibility to work overtime when required to meet operational deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
