Power Platform Solution Architect

Frequency Foundry is looking for a Power Platform Solution Architect to join our growing team and play a critical role in the design, delivery, and evolution of our power platform-based CRM solutions for the higher education and public sectors.

This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable leading technical solution design, working directly with client technical teams, and getting hands-on with configuration, customization, development, and integration work. The successful candidate will act as a technical lead on Foundry onboarding engagements and will also become an active member of our product and development team.

As a Power Platform Solution Architect, you will be responsible for translating complex business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions built on Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Platform, Azure, and related web technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture and technical design for Power Platform and Dynamics 365 CRM implementations.
• Configure, customize, and extend Microsoft Power Platform, Dataverse, Dynamics 365, and model-driven applications.
• Design and support integrations between the Power Platform and institutional systems such as Student Information Systems, Learning Management Systems, identity providers, authentication platforms, and other enterprise applications.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for client technical teams during onboarding and implementation engagements.
• Provide technical leadership across project teams, including functional consultants, developers, data specialists, and client stakeholders.
• Support solution design for portals, web applications, APIs, authentication flows, data integrations, and automation.
• Participate directly in hands‑on development, troubleshooting, prototyping, and solution validation.
• Work closely with Foundry’s development team to align client implementation needs with product roadmap, reusable components, and platform standards.
• Review technical requirements, identify risks, recommend best practices, and ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and supportable.
• Support technical documentation, architecture diagrams, integration specifications, deployment planning, and knowledge transfer.
• Help ensure successful client onboarding through strong technical guidance, practical problem‑solving, and clear communication.

Required Qualifications

• Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect certification.
• 5+ years of extensive hands‑on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Dynamics 365 CRM.
• 4+ years of experience designing and implementing integrations between Dynamics 365 / Power Platform and external systems.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, data modeling, authentication, security roles, environments, solution management, and deployment practices.
• 3+ years of experience acting as a technical lead or solution architect on client‑facing implementation projects.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to be hands‑on and contribute directly to configuration, customization, development, and testing.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Frequency Foundry is not able to provide visa sponsorship for this role.

Nice‑to‑have Qualifications

• Other Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft AI certifications.
• Azure certifications or hands‑on Azure experience.
• Experience with Azure services such as Logic Apps, Service Bus, App Services, Azure Functions, API Management, or related cloud integration services.
• Experience integrating with ERPs, Learning Management Systems, identity and access management platforms, or payment systems.
• Experience with Power Pages, XRM portals, ADX portals, or other portal frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, managed solutions, source control, and release management.
• Experience in higher education, public sector, or enterprise CRM implementations.

We are looking for someone who can think like an architect, lead like a consultant, and build like a developer. This is not a purely advisory role. The right person will be comfortable designing the solution, explaining the solution, and then rolling up their sleeves to help configure, customize, integrate, test, and deliver it.

You should be confident working directly with client IT teams, understanding institutional systems, navigating technical complexity, and helping turn business requirements into practical working solutions.

Work Location and Eligibility

This is a hybrid role based in Calgary, Alberta. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Frequency Foundry is not able to provide visa sponsorship or relocation assistance for this position.
