Job description

Job Title: Purchasing Administrator

Location: Port Coquitlam, BC

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:40 PM (On-site)

Salary: $57,000-$65,000 per year

Are you looking to build your career in purchasing and supply chain? Kelly Services is recruiting Purchasing Administrators on behalf of our client in Port Coquitlam, BC. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate, co-op student, or someone with early purchasing or procurement experience who is eager to learn and grow within a well-established distribution company.

What You'll Do:

  • Create, process, and follow up on purchase orders.
  • Monitor supplier deliveries and shipment timelines.
  • Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure orders are delivered on time.
  • Investigate and resolve order, shipment, and invoice discrepancies.
  • Maintain purchasing records and update ERP systems.
  • Prepare reports and assist with inventory and procurement activities.
  • Provide general administrative support to the purchasing team.

What We're Looking For:

  • Co-op, internship, or 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or logistics.
  • Recent graduates from a Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related program are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience in distribution, wholesale, industrial, manufacturing, or construction is considered an asset.
  • Experience using an ERP system is an asset.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly, think critically, and work both independently and as part of a team.
