Project Quotations & Inside Sales Representative

Next Sales & Marketing Inc. is one of Atlantic Canada's leading manufacturers' representative agencies, specializing in commercial, industrial, architectural, and residential lighting solutions. We work closely with electrical distributors, contractors, engineers, and designers, representing many of the industry's leading manufacturers.
As our company continues to grow, we are looking for an energetic, organized, and customer-focused Project Quotations & Inside Sales Representative to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, managing multiple projects at once, and has the confidence to sell solutions over the phone while delivering exceptional customer service.
What You'll Do
• Prepare accurate and competitive lighting quotations for distributors and project opportunities.
• Proactively follow up on quotations to help secure orders and close sales.
• Manage multiple lighting projects simultaneously from quotation through order completion.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, manufacturers, and our outside sales team.
• Process customer orders and coordinate with manufacturers to ensure timely delivery.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding pricing, product availability, lead times, and order status.
• Review project specifications and assist customers with product selection and value-engineered alternatives.
• Maintain accurate customer records, opportunities, and follow-up activities within our CRM system.
• Work closely with manufacturer partners to obtain pricing, technical information, and project support.
• Coordinate project documentation, submittals, and related administrative tasks.
• Assist with day-to-day office activities while maintaining exceptional customer service.

Qualifications & Assets
• Previous experience in inside sales, quotations, customer service, project coordination, or the electrical/lighting industry is considered a strong asset.
• Experience reading construction drawings or project specifications is an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
• Experience using CRM software and ERP/order entry systems.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new software.
• Knowledge of commercial lighting products or the electrical industry is an asset but not required.
• Experience working with electrical distributors, contractors, or consulting engineers is considered an advantage.
