Shift: Sunday to Saturday - Float Schedule (Flexibility Required for various shifts) - 40 hours/week Pay Rate: $37.90/hour Location: 147 Massey Rd, Guelph, ON Description The Linehaul Driver drives to/from customer locations and safely operates company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt, trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) to pick up and deliver freight to/from customer locations and meet service level agreements. Job requires working in shifts. Responsibilities Drive to/from customer locations Safely operates company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) Pick up and deliver freight to/from warehouse or package depot and/or customer locations and meet service level agreements Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch Pick up, deliver, and load/unload freight at customer locations Scans freight upon pickup and delivery Conduct vehicle inspections (tractor - 20-minute pre-trip, 15-minute post-trip; trailer - 15-minute pre-trip per trailer) Experience Class AZ driver’s license with a clean driving record 3 years of Class AZ driving experience Skills GPS Tracking Physical Efforts Physical Efforts-Physical strength - Lifting/Lowering upto 70 pounds Physical Efforts-Standing Physical Efforts-Sitting Physical Efforts-Walking Physical Efforts-Climbing Physical Efforts-Kneeling Physical Efforts-Crouching/Squatting Physical Efforts-Low Back Movements Mental Efforts Mental Efforts-Concentration on precision work Mental Efforts-Long periods of driving Mental Efforts-Exposure to Confrontational Situations Mental Efforts-Problem solving Language Requirement: Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders.
