Are you passionate about creating inclusive communities? Do you have skills that can help guide us, such as expertise in housing, transportation, human resources, board governance or community development? Would you like to be an enthusiastic advocate for vulnerable people?

Join us in working toward a better future for developmental services in the Niagara Region.

At Inclusion West Niagara we provide services and supports to both children and adults living with a developmental disability, and their families.Services include residential 24-hour homes, supported independent living options,employment support, community participation programs, family support, recreation and leisure activities and respite.

As a volunteer board member, your insights and leadership will help guide strategic decisions, ensure financial sustainability, and advocate for inclusive services that empower individuals with developmental disabilities.

We are currently searching for new volunteer board members to join our dynamic team this winter!

Requirements:

  • Actively participate in monthly meetings 10 times a year (3rd Monday of most months: 5:30pm for dinner, meeting 6:00-7:30pm)
  • Set and support the vision, mission, and strategic priorities
  • Contribute in a meaningful way to discussions, activities, and sub-committees
  • Commit to a 3-year term (can be renewed twice)
  • Live, or work, within a 20-30km radius of West Niagara
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Be committed to the values of the Agency
  • Be committed to act in the best interests of all people served by the Agency
  • Provide a Police Broad Record check (reimbursed)
