JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a leading industrial client. This individual will serve as the electrical engineering technical lead, providing guidance and oversight throughout the lifecycle of capital and operational projects.
The successful candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external engineering firms to develop, review, and validate technical solutions while ensuring compliance with standards, project objectives, and operational requirements.
This role requires strong technical leadership, multidisciplinary coordination experience, and the ability to influence decision-making across complex industrial projects. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who excels in dynamic environments and is passionate about delivering safe, reliable, and efficient engineering solutions.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Instrumentation & Control specialization or related field)
- Member of the OIQ (Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec)
- 5–10 years of engineering experience
- Significant experience in multidisciplinary technical coordination
- Experience supervising consulting engineering firms
- Strong project execution experience
- Good understanding of industrial equipment and industrial operations
- Ability to manage complex technical interfaces across disciplines
- Strong technical decision-making capabilities
- Deep understanding of engineering project phases:
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Technical leadership and ability to influence stakeholders
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Bilingual in French and English
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience serving as an electrical technical lead - Experience supporting AFEs (Authorization for Expenditure) and capital project approvals
Please note: The contract rate range for this position is $70-$83/hour.
