The Turnaround Cost Engineer is responsible for delivering credible, timely, and consistent cost control, forecasting, and reporting in support of Turnaround activities. The role enables disciplined financial performance through standardized cost engineering practices, capability development within the cost control function, and support for safe, affordable, and reliable asset delivery.
What’s the Role
This position supports site‑based Turnarounds and partners closely with Turnaround Execution, Planning & Scheduling, Contracting & Procurement, and Finance to ensure cost transparency, compliance with cost control standards, and informed decision‑making.
The role is primarily an individual contributor with strong interfaces across execution teams and vendors, while also providing hands‑on coaching, guidance, and technical support to junior cost control engineers during planning, execution, and close‑out phases.
