Your New Role

As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, you will serve as the Power BI subject matter expert responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-scale business intelligence solutions. Working closely with investment professionals, portfolio analytics teams, finance, risk, and other corporate stakeholders, you will build scalable analytics products that support investment decision-making and portfolio performance.

You will lead the end-to-end delivery of Power BI solutions, including semantic models, datasets, dashboards, and reporting frameworks. This role requires a strong combination of hands-on technical expertise, stakeholder engagement, performance optimization, and data storytelling to transform complex data into meaningful business insights.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise Power BI solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Expert-level experience with:
• Power BI Desktop
• Power BI Service
• Power Query (M)
• DAX
• Semantic Modelling
• Data Visualisation Best Practices
• Proven experience building enterprise-grade semantic models, datasets, reports, and dashboards.
• Strong expertise troubleshooting and optimising Power BI performance, including complex DAX calculations, refresh processes, and large-volume datasets.
• Experience with GitHub source control and CI/CD deployment practices for Power BI assets.
• Strong understanding of BI governance, security, reusable data models, and reporting standards.
• Experience partnering with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver analytics solutions that drive business outcomes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience supporting investment, portfolio analytics, capital markets, asset management, risk, finance, or other highly analytical business environments.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and AI-enabled analytics capabilities.
• Familiarity with Power BI Copilot, AI Instructions, Verified Answers, and AI-optimised semantic models.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse Analytics, or similar cloud data platforms.
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric Data Agents, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, or agentic analytics frameworks.
• Experience applying data storytelling methodologies and action-oriented reporting frameworks.
