Job Summary:

As a Supply Chain Planning & Procurement Manager, you will own the planning, procurement, and inventory management functions that determine what inventory NXTRND purchases, when purchase orders are placed, and how stock is positioned across our distribution network. Working closely with the Head of Supply Chain you will translate sales forecasts, inventory data, supplier lead times, seasonality, and launch requirements into sound purchasing and replenishment decisions.

You will independently manage the recurring planning and procurement cycle, oversee purchase orders and factory production priorities, and maintain healthy inventory levels across our warehouses, DC's, & other fulfillment locations. This role requires experienced analytical judgment, strong leadership and follow-through, and the ability to balance product availability, lead times, freight costs, cash flow, and inventory risk.

Task Overview:

  • Own the monthly supply chain planning cycle by reviewing sales forecasts, inventory on hand, open purchase orders, inbound inventory, and channel demand.
  • Build, maintain, and present monthly procurement plans by SKU, product category, supplier, and required delivery date.
  • Determine purchasing requirements and create, issue, and manage purchase orders based on forecasted demand, lead times, seasonality, safety stock, service levels, and working capital considerations.
  • Monitor weeks of supply and proactively identify stockout exposure, excess inventory, slow-moving inventory, aged inventory, and purchasing risks.
  • Manage supplier lead times, production schedules, minimum order quantities, production capacity, and purchase order completion dates.
  • Communicate purchasing requirements, production priorities, and delivery expectations directly with factories and key supply partners.
  • Review open purchase orders and production milestones, resolve delays, and escalate material risks before they affect inventory availability.
  • Own replenishment planning between the 3PL, Amazon, retail channels, and other fulfillment or distribution locations.
  • Analyze inventory positions and approve or coordinate transfer orders between warehouses based on demand, availability, storage capacity, and channel requirements.
  • Lead supply chain planning for product launches and seasonal programs by establishing purchase timelines and ensuring inventory is available before required launch or delivery dates.
  • Maintain and continuously improve ERP planning parameters, including lead times, reorder points, safety stock, supplier information, purchasing data, and replenishment settings.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Finance, Ecommerce, and Supply Chain Operations to align forecasts, purchasing plans, launches, cash requirements, and inventory priorities.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and address production delays, capacity limitations, pricing concerns, quality issues, and inventory risks with factories and internal leadership.
  • Prepare and communicate recurring inventory and purchasing reports, including weeks of supply, stockout risk, excess inventory, open PO status, forecast variance, aged inventory, and Amazon capacity.
  • Review air freight requirements, freight quotations, warehouse charges, and other exceptional supply chain costs, making recommendations or approvals within established authority.
  • Set priorities for the Supply Chain Analyst, review execution quality, and ensure shipment, inventory movement, and documentation issues are resolved accurately and on time.
  • Identify and implement improvements to forecast accuracy, purchasing processes, inventory efficiency, supplier performance, and working capital utilization.

Skills:

  • Proven ability to independently own demand planning, inventory planning, procurement, purchasing, and replenishment processes.
  • Five or more years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, procurement, purchasing, or a related consumer-products environment.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the judgment to translate forecasts and inventory data into purchasing, replenishment, and transfer decisions.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including lookups, pivot tables, SUMIFS, conditional formatting, and inventory analysis.
  • Experience working with ERP, inventory planning, forecasting, WMS, EDI, or order management systems.
  • Strong understanding of lead times, safety stock, reorder points, seasonality, inventory coverage, supplier capacity, and purchase order management.
  • Ability to balance product availability with cash flow, freight costs, inventory carrying costs, storage constraints, and excess inventory risk.
  • Strong leadership, prioritization, and communication skills, with the ability to guide an analyst and coordinate factories, logistics partners, warehouses, and internal teams.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing forecasts, inventory positions, quantities, costs, delivery dates, freight quotes, and operational discrepancies.
  • Proactive, decisive, and comfortable assuming ownership of a fast-moving planning and procurement function with limited day-to-day supervision.
  • Experience with consumer products, ecommerce, retail, Amazon, seasonal demand, and multi-location inventory is strongly preferred.

If you meet the above qualifications and are ready to take ownership of this challenging role as our Supply Chain Planning & Procurement Manager, please submit your resume for consideration. We look forward to reviewing your application.
