Property Management Assistant – Commercial Real Estate Surrey, BC | $60,000–$70,000 + Benefits A growing commercial property management organization is seeking a Property Management Assistant to support a portfolio of office, retail, industrial, and commercial strata properties throughout the Lower Mainland. This role offers significantly more exposure than a traditional administrative position and is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career within commercial property management. Working alongside experienced Property Managers, the successful candidate will gain hands-on exposure to tenant relations, building operations, contractor coordination, lease administration, budgeting support, and property inspections. The Role This position combines elements of property administration, facilities coordination, and assistant property management. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day support of a commercial property portfolio while working closely with Property Managers, tenants, vendors, and accounting teams. You Will Be Responsible For - Supporting Commercial Property Managers with daily portfolio operations - Acting as a point of contact for tenants, contractors, and service providers - Coordinating maintenance, repairs, and contractor services - Supporting property inspections and site visits - Maintaining accurate property and tenant records - Assisting with lease administration and documentation - Facilitating tenant move-ins and move-outs - Supporting budgeting and reconciliation processes - Working with accounting teams to coordinate rent administration - Helping ensure a positive tenant experience across the portfolio Ideal Candidate - 1+ years of experience in property management, property administration, facilities coordination, or a related field - Commercial property management experience is preferred - Strong organizational and prioritization skills - Excellent verbal and written communication abilities - Customer-service oriented and comfortable interacting with tenants and vendors - Strong attention to detail - Able to learn quickly and adapt to new systems and processes - Experience with Microsoft Office and Yardi is considered an asset - Highly accountable and dependable What Success Looks Like The organization is looking for candidates who are: - Smart and resourceful - Hard-working and dependable - Honest and accountable - Highly organized - Team-oriented - Solutions-focused - Eager to learn and develop professionally Compensation & Benefits - $60,000–$70,000 base salary - Comprehensive benefits package - Paid vacation and time off - Career development opportunities - Supportive team environment - Long-term growth potential within the organization Location - Surrey, BC - Primarily office-based environment - Regular interaction with properties and tenants - Potential flexibility after successful onboarding and tenure How to Apply Please submit your resume for consideration.
