Supporting the Canadian office is an effective Sales and Marketing team, a resourceful HR team, a Quality Team, and accounting and administrative support staff. We are looking for a hands-on Technical Recruiter who will be working on site at our Toronto location. Duties: - Coordinating with the operations and business development teams to assess hiring and business needs - Reviewing candidate inventories and contacting potential applicants to arrange interviews and transfers, redeployment and placement of personnel - Using technical knowledge in the IT field to match human resources to the IT needs of the company - Developing strong communication channels with internal and external clients - Analyzing IT project requirements and qualifying and recruiting technical professionals - Assessing the qualifications of employees and future candidates and matching their skills with specific IRIS software project needs - Recruiting graduates of colleges, universities and other educational institutions - Utilizing internal databases to identify potential candidates and placing job requirements on the internet to increase the available candidate pool - Developing creative recruiting resources to attract qualified professionals - Identifying and attending networking activities including career fairs, professional association meetings, and calling on technical schools - Conducting skills testing, office interviews, reference checks, and background investigations - Notifying applicants of the results of the selection process, presenting job opportunities to qualified candidates, preparing job offers, and negotiating contract terms - Supervising the implementation of standard policies and making periodic reports to management - Advising job applicants on employment requirements and on the terms and conditions of employment Requirements: - A college diploma in business administration or in a related IT/technical discipline is required - At least 3 years of experience as a Technical Recruiter in IT Staffing is must - Strong technical knowledge in the IT field, with an understanding of IT project lifecycles, IT concepts and the latest trends - Excellent knowledge of Internet-based recruiting tools (i.e.: Monster, DICE, Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.) - Must be target-oriented with a history of achieving targets - Experience working directly with clients - Ability to Liaise and Network - Ability to negotiate and adjudicate - Ability to evaluate and analyze candidate applications - Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills - Strong organizational skills - Ability to work independently and to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
