Learn more about us (3) LER TechForce: Life | LinkedIn What you will be doing: Manage packaging criteria and bogey models to support feasible CDD (Conceptual Digital Data) surface development. Support PDO(Product Design Office) clay properties (theme development), mock ups and spaciousness property builds, coordination of PDO fabrication and modeling staff. Provide milling/SLA data (clay model milling PDO/Aero, SLA data for rapid prototype parts). Chair weekly working level meetings. Manage cross functional team requirements (ASME, AME, VI, HMI, Safety & BCIW). Complete Construction Sections and manage approval process to support CDD Style Freeze release (Gap & Flush). Challenge engineering requirements to achieve PDO esthetic. Verify CDD study/official releases meet VOP Hardpoints, packaging, tooling requirements and PDO theme. Present/support weekly PDO Exterior Coordination meetings. Ensure Series Card POR content is aligned with PDO theme and is captured in CST loops/Viz BOM’s. Escalate when misalignment occurs. Understand competitive benchmarking trends. What you'll need to be successful: Basic: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Design Engineering, Product Development, or a related technical field. - Experience with prototype builds and fabrication. - Experience with milling (clay model milling PDO/Aero, SLA data for rapid prototype parts) - Experience supporting product development, engineering, or vehicle design activities. - Experience working in a cross-functional environment with engineering, design, manufacturing, and other technical teams. - Ability to interpret technical requirements and support design feasibility and packaging activities. - Experience coordinating engineering reviews, meetings, and project deliverables. - Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced product development environment. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Preferred: - Experience within the automotive or transportation industry. - Familiarity with automotive product development and design processes. - Experience supporting concept development, digital models, prototypes, or engineering releases. - Knowledge of vehicle packaging, design validation, or engineering feasibility activities. - Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle. - Familiarity with engineering drawings, digital models, or technical documentation. - Experience supporting project coordination, milestone tracking, and engineering approvals. - Knowledge of competitive benchmarking, product evaluation, or design review activities. - Familiarity with product data management, visualization tools, or engineering software. - Strong presentation, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
