Industrial Automation | Project Delivery & Customer Leadership
Location: Rosemont, Ontario
Seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to own the execution of industrial automation projects, from single-robot work cells to complex, multi-robot assembly and welding systems, for a growing integration company.
This role owns projects from kickoff through customer acceptance, delivering on scope, schedule, budget, and quality while building strong, long-term customer relationships. It is ideal for someone technically fluent and confident leading cross-functional teams and challenging technical decisions when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Own project scope, schedule, budget, and risk from order intake through final buyoff
Manage multiple automation projects of varying size and complexity at the same time
Lead quoting, process planning, detailed schedules, resource plans, and cost tracking
Lead kickoffs, design reviews, internal milestones, and customer reviews
Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle
Lead meetings with team leads and question technical decisions across controls and programming
Oversee commissioning and validation, and delegate site tasks to junior staff
Coordinate cross-functional teams across mechanical design, controls, tooling, manufacturing, and installation
Identify and mitigate technical, schedule, and commercial risks
Qualifications:
Qualifications
5+ years in project management, or 4+ years specifically in automotive/automation
Engineering background (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar)
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
PMP or equivalent project management certification an asset
Experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments
Solid grasp of PLC/robot programming, tooling design, and controls integration (literacy required, hands-on not required)
G2/G class driver's license
