Job descriptionProject Coordinator – Industrial Construction Location: Edmonton, Alberta (Travel to project sites as required) Salary: $80,000–$100,000+ (Negotiable based on experience) Position Summary We are currently seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join a well-established contractor specializing in industrial, mechanical, and municipal infrastructure projects throughout Alberta. Based primarily in Edmonton, this role will support the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of industrial and infrastructure projects. Working alongside Project Managers and site teams, you will assist with project planning, scheduling, procurement, documentation, and cost control to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. Key Responsibilities - Assist Project Managers with the planning and delivery of construction projects from pre-construction through completion. - Coordinate project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project correspondence. - Support project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking. - Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and field personnel. - Assist with procurement of materials and equipment to maintain project schedules. - Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation. - Track project progress and prepare regular reports for project stakeholders. - Support quality control, safety, and environmental compliance requirements. - Attend project meetings and maintain accurate project records. - Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal project teams. Qualifications & Experience - Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Coordinator within industrial, mechanical, or heavy civil construction. - Experience working on industrial facilities, water or wastewater infrastructure, process mechanical, or piping projects is considered a strong asset. - Strong understanding of project coordination, construction documentation, scheduling, and project controls. - Knowledge of procurement, contract administration, and cost tracking. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software. - Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. - Degree, diploma, or equivalent education in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
