They are seeking a Senior Exploration Geologist to join their Resource Definition team at their Red Lake operation. Your new role Reporting to the Exploration Superintendent, the Senior Exploration Geologist will play a key role in resource definition activities, supporting the strategic conversion and expansion of existing gold resources. This position is responsible for supervising exploration programs, managing budgets, overseeing drilling activities, and providing technical leadership to support the long-term success of the operation. This position is based in Red Lake, Ontario. Relocation ready candidates are strongly preferred, but please apply if you have interest in the role and company. Key responsibilities include: - Leading and supervising resource definition activities, including drill target generation, geological interpretation, budgeting, and contractor management. - Developing and executing strategic exploration plans that contribute to reserve and resource growth. - Managing and monitoring exploration budgets, schedules, and project deliverables. - Ensuring QA/QC programs and exploration practices comply with industry best practices and applicable reporting standards. - Interpreting geological, structural, geochemical, and drilling data to support resource definition and exploration activities. - Collaborating closely with geology, engineering, operations, and external contractors to align exploration objectives with operational priorities. - Preparing regular technical reports and updates on drilling and resource definition activities. - Prioritizing and ranking exploration targets within the broader resource pipeline. - Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures. - Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and operational excellence. What you'll need to succeed - Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a related discipline. - Ability to obtain Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) designation in Ontario. - Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting geology and exploration programs. - Experience with orogenic gold systems and mineralization styles. - Experience managing drilling contractors, drill scheduling, and underground drilling logistics. - Strong understanding of exploration standards, regulations, and industry best practices. - Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Leapfrog software. - Underground mine geology experience is considered a strong asset. - Experience with ioGAS, Deswik, and/or Acquire software would be advantageous.
