Head of People and Culture

We are partnering with a Tech organization in Toronto to find a Head of People & Culture to lead their people function and act as a strategic partner to the executive team. In this position, you will oversee both the recruitment of new talent and the ongoing support of existing employees through comprehensive compensation, performance, and engagement programs.

Location: Toronto, ON
Work Model: Hybrid, two days on-site
Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000, depending on experience

Responsibilities
Drive the end-to-end recruitment strategy, from initial workforce planning through to onboarding, ensuring top-tier hiring quality.
Administer and refine competitive compensation frameworks, which includes managing pay bands, market benchmarking, and semi-annual reviews.
Govern the performance management cycle, equipping department leaders with the necessary tools and coaching to deliver effective feedback.
Oversee people operations in partnership with the People & Culture team, ensuring payroll accuracy, competitive benefits, and strict compliance with employment laws.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the Executive team on key organizational design and leadership development initiatives.

Qualifications
7+ years of progressive professional experience in an HR or People & Culture role.
Demonstrated experience spearheading a people function within a tech or SaaS environment.
Strong expertise in compensation design, employment law fundamentals, and performance management frameworks.
A proven track record of building effective recruitment strategies that prioritize high-quality hires.
Hands-on experience with HRIS and ATS systems.
