Job descriptionSenior Project Manager – Heavy Civil Infrastructure Location: Southeastern BC / Interior BC Salary: $130,000–$170,000 + Full Benefits + RRSP Matching Position Summary: We're partnering with a well-established civil contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Project Manager for a major bridge and transportation infrastructure project in Southeastern BC. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile heavy civil project, leading it from its current stage through to completion. You'll oversee project planning, execution, safety, commercial performance, and client relationships while mentoring a team of project professionals. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the successful delivery of a major heavy civil infrastructure project - Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and overall performance - Provide leadership to Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Surveyors, and field teams - Ensure projects are delivered safely while maintaining the highest quality standards - Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers - Oversee contract administration, change management, and claims - Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies - Mentor and develop project management staff while promoting continuous improvement - Ensure compliance with OH&S requirements, contract specifications, and quality programs Qualifications & Experience: - 8+ years of experience managing heavy civil construction projects - Proven experience delivering bridge, transportation, or major infrastructure projects - Strong background managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and commercial performance - Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams - Knowledge of Ministry of Transportation and MMCD contracts is considered an asset - Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation is an asset Key Competencies: - Strong leadership and team development skills - Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities - Commercially focused with strong problem-solving skills - Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities - Safety-first mindset with a commitment to quality - Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach If you're a Senior Project Manager looking to lead a major heavy civil infrastructure project in Interior BC, I'd be happy to have a confidential conversation.
