Role Title: Semiconductor Devices & Microelectronics Expert


Role Type: Contractor


Location: Remote


micro1 is engaging Semiconductor Devices & Microelectronics Experts to contribute to a dynamic customer project focused on advancing semiconductor technologies and microelectronics solutions. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.


Scope of Work

  1. Analyze and provide insights on semiconductor device physics, operational principles, and recent advances.
  2. Evaluate and discuss microfabrication techniques, including process integration and yield optimization.
  3. Contribute technical assessments on device scaling, performance modeling, and reliability methodologies.
  4. Review and critique materials used in electronic and semiconducting device fabrication.
  5. Create detailed written explanations and verbal clarifications of complex engineering concepts for AI model training purposes.
  6. Deliver structured feedback on project data to ensure technical accuracy and completeness.
  7. Collaborate asynchronously with project coordinators and other domain experts within the platform.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related discipline.
  2. Extensive experience in semiconductor device design, fabrication processes, and microelectronics engineering.
  3. Proven understanding of semiconductor physics, device modeling, and reliability testing.
  4. Hands-on exposure to modern microfabrication and process integration techniques.
  5. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to break down complex topics.
  6. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on articulating technical concepts clearly.
  7. Prior experience contributing to technical publications, patents, or collaborative R&D projects is a plus.


Compensation Structure

Compensation is output-based; experts are paid per task that meets the project specifications. The time required to complete work may vary depending on the expert’s experience and workflow. Minimum submission requirements apply. Experts must submit a minimum of tasks per week.
