Job description

StackAdapt is the leading technology company that empowers marketers to reach, engage, and convert audiences with precision. With 465 billion automated optimizations per second, the AI-powered StackAdapt Marketing Platform seamlessly connects brand and performance marketing to drive measurable results across the entire customer journey. The most forward-thinking marketers choose StackAdapt to orchestrate high-impact campaigns across programmatic advertising and marketing channels.

The Revenue Accountant role is a key member of StackAdapt’s Finance team, supporting the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of our revenue accounting processes. Reporting to the Revenue Accounting Manager, you’ll help own revenue recognition workflows, support monthly and quarterly close activities, and partner cross-functionally to ensure revenue is recorded accurately and in compliance with ASC 606.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys combining strong accounting fundamentals with a continuous improvement mindset. You'll help identify opportunities for automation, strengthen processes, and contribute to building a more scalable revenue accounting function as StackAdapt continues to grow.

StackAdapt is a remote-first company. While we are open to candidates located anywhere in Canada for this position, we will be prioritizing those based in Toronto or a EST timezone.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting end-to-end revenue recognition processes in compliance with ASC 606 across multiple contract types and billing arrangements

  • Owning monthly and quarterly close deliverables, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis for revenue-related accounts

  • Reviewing contracts, pricing, discounts, and system setup to ensure revenue-related data is accurate and aligned with approved proposals and executed agreements

  • Partnering with Deal Desk, Internal Audit, FP&A, Controllership, and Financial Reporting to support audit requests, contracting processes, and revenue accounting questions

  • Identifying opportunities to strengthen controls, streamline workflows, and support automation initiatives that reduce manual work and improve accuracy

  • Helping build scalable revenue accounting processes that can support StackAdapt’s continued growth

What You'll Bring to the Table:

  • Hands-on experience in revenue accounting, technical accounting, financial reporting, or audit, ideally within a high-growth technology or SaaS environment

  • Strong understanding of month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis

  • Working knowledge of ASC 606 and how it applies to customer contracts and revenue recognition

  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement scalable solutions

  • A continuous improvement mindset with an interest in automation, systems, and operational efficiency

  • Strong attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners
