As an intern, you’ll work alongside our experienced practitioners and with our clients and communities. This hands‑on experience will equip you with practical skills, build your network, and provide opportunities that set you up for success.

Stantec is seeking a motivated Engineering Student to support the delivery of complex civil engineering projects across British Columbia. The role offers hands‑on experience contributing to all phases of project execution including planning and design while developing core technical competencies pertaining to various forms of municipal, industrial and site development infrastructure.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Provide general support to the project management team, including administrative tasks.
• Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities.
• Help prepare project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and requirements.
• Assist in preparing drawings, calculations, drafting technical reports, memorandums, and other technical documents.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary civil engineering program with availability for a 4-8 month internship.

Education and Experience

Currently enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering degree program.

Typical office environment at Stantec office in Prince George B.C. working with computers. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

About the Team

Pay Transparency:In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
