In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting critical Canadian and U.S. regulatory operations by performing independent reviews, data remediation, and reconciliation for Electronic Funds Transfer Reporting (EFTR).

This is a 100% back-office operational role ideal for a process-driven professional with specialized experience in FINTRAC EFTR regulatory reporting who thrives in a high-volume, compliance-focused environment.

Career Growth: Strong potential for contract extensions or permanent opportunities based on performance.

Responsibilities
Daily Operations & Remediation
Perform independent, thorough reviews of EFTR data discrepancies, incomplete records, and system-generated alerts based on regulatory and risk parameters.
Remediate and update required EFTR data fields within internal systems using sound judgment and strict regulatory alignment.
Execute data validation, reconciliation, verification, and exception handling across multiple systems of record.
Manage and draft Requests for Information (RFIs) to internal partners to retrieve missing or conflicting transaction details.
Maintain complete and accurate audit trails for all remediated records within strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Risk Management & Continuous Improvement
Identify and escalate operational risks, recurring data quality gaps, or control weaknesses to leadership.
Prioritize and manage your daily workload independently to consistently hit accuracy, quality, and productivity targets.
Support internal/external regulatory audits and compliance reviews by providing accurate data, insights, and supporting documentation.
Provide informal guidance, coaching, and process support to team members as a subject matter resource.

Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications
1.5+ years of progressive experience directly handling FINTRAC EFTR regulatory reporting.
2+ years of overall experience in a corporate or financial services environment.
Minimum of a High School Diploma (Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, or related fields is an asset).
High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Soft Skills & Competencies
Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail with proven ability to analyze complex data discrepancies and maintain high accuracy standards under tight deadlines.
Self-Motivated: Strong track record of working independently on moderate-to-high complexity operational tasks with minimal supervision.
Collaborative: Excellent team player with a strong focus on open communication and positive peer engagement.
Risk Aware: Deep appreciation for regulatory controls, privacy, handling sensitive data, and risk mitigation.
