President, Communications & Corporate Affairs About the Company A national retailer that has just undergone a period of transition. Industry Retail Type Public Company About the Role The Company is seeking a President of Communications and Corporate Affairs to lead the refinement and strengthening of its engagement with employees, customers, and external stakeholders. This key role involves shaping the organization's communication strategy to ensure clear, consistent, and well-aligned messaging that supports business objectives and effectively manages risk. The successful candidate will be a trusted partner to senior leadership, helping to define and align messaging, and will be responsible for leading a capable team in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced communications leader, preferably with a background in a significant, publicly traded, and complex organization. They should be an exceptional writer and communicator, capable of distilling nuanced issues into clear and compelling messaging. The role requires a leader who is highly collaborative, relationship-oriented, and able to build trust quickly across senior stakeholders. Bilingualism in English and French is considered a strong asset. The President will be expected to bring strong judgment, credibility, and a practical approach to navigating a fast-paced environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and being comfortable operating in ambiguity while bringing perspective and calm in high-pressure situations.
