Job description
Commercial and Builder Specialist
For over 20 years, our client has been providing superior products with quality and exceptional customer service in the flooring industry. At the core of this family-led business lies a desire to do things differently.

Under the direction of the National Commercial and Contract Manager, the Commercial and Builder Specialist will be responsible for meeting the sales targets as outlined by the organization. The incumbent in this role will be responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals. Duties will include sales and product presentations as well as creating pricing schedules with clients. The Commercial and Builder Specialist will be calling on and developing first-level relationships with the builders, developers, general contractors, designers, architects and commercial contract dealers who specialize in floor covering.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute a customer-centric territory business plan aligned with company objectives and growth strategies. Evaluate territory performance regularly and adapt strategies based on market conditions, competitive activity, and customer needs.
  • Maintain and manage all customer activity, opportunities, quotations, and account information within the company CRM system.
  • Build, maintain, and actively manage a healthy sales pipeline to ensure consistent opportunity growth and forecast accuracy.
  • Prepare and submit accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports, forecasts, pipeline updates, and activity summaries as required by Management.

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in the flooring industry
  • Proven ability to hit the ground running, develop new business quickly, and grow existing customer relationships
  • Knowledge of commercial flooring and specification sales
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills, with the ability to understand customer operations and recommend practical solutions
  • Experience working with architects, designers, builders, and commercial project stakeholders
