JOB OPPORTUNITY

Position Information

Location Coquitlam Campus Salary Range
$30.30 to $33.97 hourly. Salary scale and wage increments are in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
The Opportunity
The Administrative Officer I contributes to the success of Douglas College and its community of learners by providing administrative departmental support for the delivery of services at multiple locations within the Training Group while providing exceptional client-centered service on a consistent basis to all stakeholder groups.

WHAT IT TAKES


    • Good working knowledge of the English language; excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated mathematical skills and experience working with financial documents such as invoices, deposits, expense claims and cheque requisitions.
    • Demonstrated office management, and organizational skills. Proven ability to plan and schedule work flow. Ability to effectively manage multiple pressing priorities.
    • Demonstrated technical proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, AdobePro, SharePoint, web-survey development, and database design and navigation. Experience creating flowcharts in Visio would be an asset.
    • Demonstrated ability to work to the requirements of a Quality Management System ( QMS ). Willingness to certify to the ISO 9001:2015 QMS standard.

Additional Information


    • This temporary full-time (35 hours per week) position is available starting August 24, 2026 to October 09, 2026
    • Hours of work will typically be scheduled Monday to Friday, between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm.
    • This position is required to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs.
    • Shift days and times may change depending on operational needs.
    • Evening and occasional weekend work may be required.
    • The position is located at the Coquitlam campus and may be required to work at all Douglas College campuses and offsite locations based on operational needs.
