Parts Consultant

Davis Chevrolet in Claresholm is seeking an experienced and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Parts Consultant. Reporting to the Parts and Service Manager, the Parts Consultant is responsible for selling parts to internal and external customers, over the counter, through the shop or over the phone. In this role, candidates can expect to earn between $48,000 and $60,000 annually, including incentives and your schedule will be Monday through Friday, and you will work rotational Saturdays. Why you Belong at Davis Chevrolet: - We offer competitive compensation and a robust benefit plan and coverage - We have a Travel Reward Program so you can get away from work and travel on us! - Industry-leading health and dental benefits and employer matched RRSP's so you and your family are covered - A stable, family-owned business that takes pride in being involved in the community - Group wide employee pricing discount program on vehicles and parts Key Responsibilities: - Assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting and locating required parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner - Order parts and provide information regarding parts, including their function, prices, application, and warranty - Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line - Maintain effective communication with other departments/individuals in the dealership; keeping them informed the status of back-ordered or special order parts - Assist in conducting regular inventory counts - Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure our employees make customer satisfaction a priority to create customer loyalty and generate referrals Requirements & Qualifications - Previous parts experience in a parts department or automotive environment is preferred – bonus points for previous Chevrolet or GM experience - Exceptional customer service and communication skills - Strong attention to detail and decision-making skills - Ability to work independently as a part of a team; managing multiple priorities in a busy environment - Ability to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical activities such as bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extensive periods of time. - Experience using Collision Link is considered an asset - Red Seal Parts Certification is considered an asset - Valid driver's license and completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.
