Chief Financial Officer (CFO) About the Company Pioneering metal recycling company with a strong local presence Industry Environmental Services Type Privately Held Founded 1912 Employees 201-500 Specialties - provide scrap metal brokerage services - brokerage - sales - demolition scrap collection - containner services for metals - barge service - mobile shear - and trucking About the Role The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership in support of the organization's long-term objectives. The CFO will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, overseeing all financial management aspects, including planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and capital management. This role is pivotal in the company's expansion, particularly in the context of strategic acquisitions, infrastructure investment, and cross-border growth. The ideal candidate will be a forward-looking finance leader with a background in complex, operationally intensive environments, and experience in leading significant financial and reporting systems upgrades, including ERP implementations. The CFO will also be a strategic partner to executive leadership, providing the insight necessary for decision-making and supporting sustainable value creation. The successful CFO at the company will be responsible for leading a significant systems modernization effort to enhance financial visibility and support operational decision-making. This requires a leader who can assess risk, support long-term planning, and partner effectively with executive leadership, while remaining practical and hands-on in execution. A collaborative leadership style, strong interpersonal skills, and a long-term orientation are essential, as the company values a family-owned, values-driven culture.
